The CHURCH OF THE HEMP GODDESS is not a physical entity. It is not "of this world." The Church does not receive money or property, nor does it spend or give any money or property.

It seeks no permission or authorization from any mortal or group of mortals. Hence, it is not registered or licensed by any human authority. I claim THE CHURCH OF THE HEMP GODDESS is protected by the US and Utah Constitutions because it exists as a spiritual entity, not because anyone has filled out any government forms, or complied with any official rules.

Our Church is because it is. If we were required to be approved, licensed or "established" by the government, that would be a violation of the anti-establishment clause of our national and state constitutions.
