What is he Coalition for Personal Choice?
We are a group of individuals who understand
the basic fundamental principles that freedom requires, namely (1)
the equal privilege to engage in our separate and unique personal
choices in so far as we do not violate the freedoms of others. (2)
That we vigilantly defend each others freedoms with our lives,
fortunes and sacred honor.
We accept that naturally every individual
has a tendency to gravitate towards groups and organizations that
share the same beliefs, goals and lifestyles. We also accept that
historically, this has sometimes lead to an "us and them"
mentality resulting in witch hunts, red scares, queer fears,
Muslim-mania, gun ownership hysteria, medical marijuana
propaganda, polygamy persecution and so on.
The goal of the Coalition for Personal
Choice is to have a place where we can gather together as
individuals who all share the same understanding and ultimate
goal, "freedom and liberty for all". To achieve that we hold
rallies, festivals and meetings. To get involved click here.
The Coalition for Personal Choice was born in
Utah during
a Tolerance Rally Dr. Larsen organized at the City-County
building. Mayor Rocky Anderson was present to declare that day
Tolerance Day in Salt Lake City. There were a few tables at this
event. It was the most interesting thing to see the Ordo Templi
Orientis who openly called themselves the 'Illuminati' (in a
spiritual sense), and another group (Le Rouche?) with their table
handing out anti-Illuminati. Then the Ordo Templi Orientis Choir
got up and sang a few mystic chants, it was tolerated.
There were polygamists, gay folks, spiritual marijuana booths
as well as medical marijuana booths. There were a few candidates
who attended. It was a gathering of the kind of people who are not
usually tolerated by most Utahns. What we were able to accomplish
that day is to prove that people with such different ways of
thinking and being can come to the table of peace and tolerate
each others differences so that we can work together to get the
things we all want. You have to ask, what were things they all
wanted?
1) Peace
2) Prosperity
3) Freedom from government intrusion
4) Freedom from private intrusion
5) Rights to life, liberty, property and pursuit of happiness
Since that time, we have grown to include Muslim organizations,
student groups, other religious groups and we invite you and your
organization to join us in our quest and journey to win-win
solutions. That is what this coalition is all about. It's about
You getting what you want as long as we get what we want.
The only rules are:
1) Your personal choices are yours and shall not be
legislated against
2) You shall not infringe on the choices of others.
3)You shall not violate anyone else's rights to life, liberty,
property and pursuit of happiness.
If you think you or your organization wants to get involved
