Be
Free and Live!
Here of late I've had serious
contemplations of whether "freedom" is enwrapped in a statute
of limitations. Not only does there seem to be an ongoing
diminishing of freedom in general, but the impact is rippling
through the very fiber of our society. Everything, everywhere,
everyday feels tainted to me. The cumulative effect derived
from centuries of microdetailmanagement of "freedom" is much
like overdoing the recipe for a soufflé and having it fall
with every attempt.
Egads! Are we so unable to appreciate the magnitude and
diversity of who we are? Are we so stuck up with what we
believe that all of us are denied the opportunity to live a
life of freedom?
I have always believed there is hope. I have known too many in
my life, as diverse a crowd as they may be, that I feel have
been and continue to be great people with which to share this
life. Maybe the eternal springing of hope will far outdo the
lessening freedom in our lives.
Bring me your smiley faces! Express the personal choices you
have in your pursuit of happiness! Let's shatter all the
ridiculous limitations our freedom suffers and move on to a
better life experience!
It's not "Live Free or Die!"; it's "Be Free and Live!"

One other point I'd like to comment on is that for those of
you who are especially inclined to ongoing dialogue about
this, that, and beyond, a
forum has been set in place to
expound upon anything that has been launched from this column.
Though I may very likely be too otherwise preoccupied to be
actively involved personally with the forum much of the time,
the forum does provide you with an opportunity for ongoing,
continuing dialogue with anyone else interested in discussing
this column.
Thank you for your visit, and may all your personal choices be
beneficial to all your many interests; and harmless, if not
also beneficial, to everyone else.
